Clinical Director of Adult Medicine (BC/BE)
Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Clinical Director of Adult Medicine to join our partner's team in Hartford, CT. This is a significant leadership opportunity for a Board Certified or Board Eligible physician to guide clinical operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and contribute to the strategic direction of a thriving medical center.
Role and Responsibilities
As the Clinical Director, you will be a key leader, responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality patient care. You will be instrumental in the recruitment, onboarding, retention, and discipline of clinical providers and staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement. This role requires the ability to work effectively with diverse and underserved patient populations, applying your expertise to address their complex needs. You will also supervise advanced practitioners (APRNs, Client), and your experience with electronic health record systems will be essential.
The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen and a history of making value-added contributions to enterprise-level projects. You will be skilled at collecting, analyzing, and presenting data to make defensible, evidence-based decisions. Your superior communication and interpersonal skills will be vital in building and maintaining productive relationships with clinical and administrative teams, patients, and external partners. This position requires a resourceful, problem-solving attitude and an unwavering commitment to the organization's mission and core values.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited medical school. Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Relevant business experience, especially in a large health center setting or private practice, serving as either a Director or Associate Director. Experience with recruitment, onboarding, retention, and discipline of clinical providers. Familiarity with compliance issues related to clinical expertise. Demonstrated ability in developing and participating in department strategic goals.
