SUMMARY

Reporting to the Head of Education and Engagement, the Client Engagement Operations Director plays a crucial role in supporting and executing initiatives focused on enhancing engagement with key stakeholder groups leveraging relationship management skills and cyber-security/risk management expertise. The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving our organizational growth, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence. This is a high-impact opportunity for a collaborative, strategic thinker and creative problem solver with a passion for addressing information security and risk management challenges.


What you will be doing in this role:

  • Enhance operating model to engage stakeholders in process of developing, implementing and furthering adoption of PCI SSC products.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes related to engagement operations, contributing to greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage professional network of stakeholder relationships to ensure PCI SSC maintains latest information on industry security and threat trends, regulations, best practices and payment technology.
  • Work closely with representatives from all stakeholder groups (including but not limited to payment brands, financial institutions, merchants, service providers, vendors and/or regulators) to advance PCI SSC initiatives.
  • Create and oversee project documentation, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
  • Identify potential risks to project success, communicate to relevant stakeholders and develop mitigation plans.
  • Represent PCI SSC at industry events and conferences as part of the PCI SSC Speaking Program.

What you will bring to this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience within the payment card industry and strong understanding of financial services landscape, with a focus on security standards/regulations, risk management, and compliance operations.
  • In depth experience applying, interpreting and implementing information security controls in large and complex environments in order to meet compliance with industry standards and global regulations.
  • Direct responsibility for management of IT risk assessments including control design and testing against multiple security frameworks, including, but not limited to COBIT, COSO, ISO, NIST, SOC2 and PCI.
  • Deep familiarity with and knowledge of PCI security standards and programs (PCI DSS, PCI PIN, PCI P2PE, PCI Card Production, PCI MPoC, etc.).
  • Involvement in development of industry standards, guidance publications or similar thought- leadership materials.
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder engagement and collaboration across all levels of organization for cross-functional project execution.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, active listening and influence skills mandatory; including ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Accomplished speaker with extensive experience presenting to audiences of all sizes.
  • Strong self-motivator capable of working independently.
  • CISSP, CISA, PCI-QSA or ISA and/or similar security certifications strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% as needed to support stakeholder engagement initiatives.

The starting minimum salary for this role is $150,000 USD annually, plus bonus. The final compensation will be based on skills, experience, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
