*BASIC FUNCTION* To supervise all center staff and coordinate all day-to-day center activities, including obtaining and maintaining the highest possible SUTQ rating for site and maintaining the center in compliance for all DCY licensing rules. Must adhere to and follow all Head Start/ Early Head Start Performance Standards and procedures outlined in all Head Start/ Early Head Start policies and procedures.

*Qualifications:*
1. Minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education with 2 years supervisory experience
BS/AA in Early Childhood Education.
2. Ability to provide transportation to meet the position requirements
3. Must maintain a valid Ohio Driver License and maintain status of insurability
4. A sincere commitment to philosophy and the objectives of Head Start / Early Head Start
5. Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office
6. Ability to work in a fast paced multitask environment

15. Successfully complete First Aide, CPR, communicable disease and child abuse training
16. Complete a required physical prior to hire and every five years thereafter\\

*SUPERVISOR:* *Program Manager*
*ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBLITIES AND FUNCTIONS*
1. Responsible for meeting and maintaining all requirements for both the Ohio Department of Education Licensing, as center administrator, and any appropriate areas of the revised performance standards.
2. Encourage, stimulate and develop parent involvement in the centers through parent center committees, Program Coordinator and special meetings and activities as deemed appropriate for the endeavor
3. Maintain and be responsible for all center equipment, it's use, maintenance, inventory, cleanliness and storage.
4. Responsible for securing an approved substitute and for notification as per Personnel Policies and Procedures.
5. Directly supervise the following center personnel: Teachers, Nutrition Aides and volunteers assuring that conferences, evaluations and duties are performed as required by the Personnel Policies and Procedures, job descriptions and other relevant material.
6. Participate in the revision of the written program plans and support materials annually in consultation with parents, community representatives, Policy Council and other staff.
7. Work cooperatively with cook/custodian in planning of nutrition education, special events for food service and the overall center cleanliness as pertains to preparation for cleaning as much as possible.
8. Prepare monthly reports timely and accurately (attendance, in-kind, Volunteer Services Sheet).
9. Report on the progress of the program-to-Program Manager.
10. Follow and enforce all safety regulations.
11. Involve the parent in the education, health care, nutrition and general development of their child.
12. Maintain current accurate information in the center's licensing booklets.
13. Work cooperatively with Itinerant Teachers, Speech Therapists and other team members for the purpose of meeting the families identified needs.
14. Ensure all follow-up is complete and documented on all children after each contact with family.
15. Share information with the office staff on doctor, dentist, health information, nutritional information, as received.
16. Assist in recruiting, encouraging, training, assigning and scheduling parent volunteers.
17. Assist in conducting parent meetings.
18. Assist in maintaining an up-to-date parent corner.
19. Respect the confidentiality of children, families and staff.
20. Always dress appropriately for the job. Avoid provocative clothing, as well as hats or shirts with sexual slogans, curse words, etc. Avoid loose or dangling jewelry that children could grab or become caught in equipment, or sharp objects or pins that could injure children. Wear footwear that minimizes the possibility of slips and falls. Wear clean clothes and practice good hygiene.
21. Perform other duties as assigned Executive Director.
22. Read and adhere to all policies and procedures set forth in the Child Care Resources, Inc. Policies and Procedures Manual.
*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND EMPLOYEE STANDARDS*
All staff must possess the desire and competency necessary to contribute to the growth of the Child Care Resources Programs through its objectives and standards. To comply with this standard each staff member must be able to:
_*Program Services*_
1. Must obtain a substitute for any staff at the site when needed
2. Fill in for absent teaching staff as necessary
3. Always follow and enforce all policies and procedures and safety regulations
4. Attend on-site visits with DCY licensure, completing all necessary forms and files checklists. Keep files UTD.
5. Complete all necessary paperwork and procedures to obtain and maintain SUTQ ratings for your site, with assistance from your educational manager.
6. Ensure fire drills are conducted and documented once a month in each class at the center, and tornado drills are conducted as per procedures, and keep accurate records of each. Ensure playground inspections are completed and documented.
7. Complete disaster/ lockdown/ ALICE drills per schedule and maintain records
8. Develop and maintain knowledge of Performance Standards, State and Federal Laws as thy pertain to the program, and any additional policies and procedures required in completion of individual jobs
9. Assure teachers are utilizing IEP goals in lesson plans, and accommodation or adjustments are being made to the classrooms to support IEP goals.
10. Serve as an advocate for Head Start and Early Head Start programs
11. Coordinate orders for necessary site and classroom supplies and ensure purchase orders are requested
12. Coordinate volunteer program at center site with assistance from Family Advocate
13. Attend all Center Director meetings
14. Maintain a "Library of Information" within each center/site to be available to each Head Start and Early Head Start parent, relative to those areas required under licensing.
15. Attend all scheduled Teachers Meetings and follow up to assure teachers are implementing what they have learned at the meetings.
16. Assist Family Advocate with family events and parent meetings
17. Obtain knowledge in HS/EHS birth to age five (5) School readiness goals and assist teaching staff in understanding and carrying out activities to help children achieve goals.
18. Ensure participation of teaching staff at on-site IEP meetings
19. Maintain record of on-site therapy and itinerate service delivery
20. Contact workers/ agencies to maintain building/ playground as necessary
21. Assist the Family Advocate in providing training to parent committees
22. Assure all staff used in Adult/ Child ratio get 10 hours each calendar year & 20 hours biannually of child development training per school year, according to SUTQ requirements.
_*Compliance/ Monitoring and Tracking *_
1. Complete annual evaluations on all assigned staff
2. Assure all reaching staff and self- have Professional Development Plans that meet Performance Standards and SUTQ.
3. Assist in the hiring and termination of all assigned staff
4. Provide employee performance counseling and disciplinary action, when necessary
5. Supervise all assigned staff
6. Complete monthly classroom observations in each classroom in the center. Review/share observations with the teacher and send signed copies to the Ed. Manager by the 5th of the following month.
7. Monitor to ensure all aspects of Active Supervision are being implemented consistently and all safety protocols are followed.
8. Knowledge of CLASS and assist teaching staff in understanding and implementing it as needed.
9. Maintain required records, including attendance on each child and keep accurate attendance records and make sure they are entered in Child Plus daily.
10. Ensure that the emergency contacts are updated and verified before the first day of class and monthly thereafter.
11. Obtain and keep completed files on qualified volunteers in the center. Ensure a completed file is maintained for all volunteers.
12. Monitor attendance of all center staff
13. review, monitor, track and submit time sheets, mileage forms, verifying hours and completeness and accuracy within required time frame.
14. Ensure that a minimum of two (2) education parent/staff conferences and two (2) education home visits are completed on each center-based child during the school year and the information is logged in Child Plus, follow annual calendar.
15. Ensure that all Family Advocates complete at least three (3) home visits & more as needed per school year to families.
16. Ensure that all individual needs of all diagnosed children are met as recommended on the IEP and review classroom lesson plans to ensure they are addressing the goal of the IEP. Review two (2) weeks prior to use in classroom to ensure it aligns with regular classroom activities
17. Monitor all visitor (including Itinerant teachers, Therapists, Mental Health Consultant, and Head Start Managers/staff) to the site to assure proper paperwork is complete and on file.
18. Contact HR/Transportation Manager to coordinate cancellation of class.
