About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for its Wealth Management Operations. The COO will be responsible for the day-to-day oversight and management of US Wealth Management Operations, ensuring that all operational aspects are in line with regulatory requirements, service level standards, and budgetary and staffing needs. This role involves managing multiple functions within operations, troubleshooting issues, and providing regular updates to senior leadership. The successful candidate will also be involved in key admin functions such as communications, employee engagement, budgeting, financial and management reporting, vendor management, and special projects. A strong background in wealth management products and services, as well as excellent people management and communication skills, are essential.
Candidates for the COO position must have a 4-year degree or equivalent, or a high school diploma with at least 15 years of relevant industry experience. A securities license is required, along with a proven track record in leading successful project management and change implementation. The role demands a leader with advanced problem-solving skills, the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, and a strong focus on operational risk and regulatory compliance. The COO will be expected to have a comprehensive understanding of the wealth management business, including its products, strategy, and technology. Experience in representing operations in various firm committees and a background in operational risk and regulatory knowledge are also necessary.
