About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its team. The CFO will be responsible for leading the organization's financial operations, ensuring long-term fiscal sustainability, and guiding financial strategy in alignment with the company's priorities and growth. This key leadership role involves overseeing budget development, and requires a strong understanding of municipal financing and accounting procedures. The successful candidate will be expected to provide strong leadership to the financial team and work closely with the larger executive team to support the company's mission.

Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field, with 5-7 years of experience in financial or public finance management, including supervisory roles. A CPA, CPFO, CMA, or a master’s degree in finance is preferred. The role demands a candidate with considerable knowledge of municipal accounting, budget, treasury/investments, and debt, and who possesses strong skills in decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and supervision. The CFO will play a critical part in the company's financial leadership, and as such, the ability to work effectively with the City Council and other stakeholders is essential.
