How You’ll Work

  • Location: Remote, but candidates must be based in the Northeast (Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, or Baltimore) or Southwest (Dallas, Houston, or Oklahoma City) regions
  • Travel: 25–50%
  • Compensation: $107,000-$160,500 per year. A final offer amount is dependent on factors including prior relevant experience, knowledge, and location.
  • Bonuses/Commission: Eligible for performance-based bonus and commission

About the Role
CRST’s Asset-Light (Flatbed) Division is a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial unit within one of the nation’s leading transportation companies. We specialize in flatbed, dry van, and brokerage solutions, offering unmatched flexibility, speed, and service.

As a Capacity Sales Director, you’ll be the driving force behind new business growth. You’ll acquire small to mid-sized customers, create tailored transportation solutions, and expand CRST’s freight network through strategic selling and long-term partnerships.

What You’ll Do

  • Identify, target, and win new flatbed and brokerage customers
  • Build a steady pipeline through cold outreach, networking, and market insights
  • Design customer-specific transportation solutions leveraging CRST’s independent contractor model
  • Manage pricing, proposals, presentations, and negotiations to close profitable business
  • Build and maintain long-term partnerships to drive retention and growth
  • Stay ahead of freight trends, customer shifts, and competitive strategies

Qualifications

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven transportation sales experience
  • Strong understanding of freight operations
  • CRM and Microsoft Office proficiency

Preferred

  • Four-year degree or applicable work experience
  • Experience selling in asset-light or flatbed environments
  • Proven record of exceeding revenue goals
