Job Purpose:
The Sr. Director of Business Development Sales is responsible for driving revenue and Securus’ reach in the market by entering into key strategic third party and/or partner relationships. The role will focus on investigative opportunities, educations revenues and 3rd party app relationships, including potential 3rd party advertising opportunities. Essential Duties Develop partner roadmap and manage overall partner product strategy in order to achieve financial and strategic growth objectives.
Create business plans for new products and relationships that account for complete P&L of the offering.
Work closely with the Sales Director of Partner Programs to identify new opportunities and ensure revenue from existing partner products
Maintain and understand the P&L for all communication partner product lines
Ensure product pipeline supports the company strategy and goals by improving EBITDA and stakeholder value
Deliver expected EBITDA value according to annual objectives for product category
Increase Communication category performance through increased penetration, enhanced features, and fostering a focus on voice of the consumer
Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and translate changes into roadmap action items to maintain the success of the category
Convert competitor and industry insights into partner product category strategy and roadmap prioritization
Evangelize partner product category strategy and vision internally and externally
Define business requirements and drive Agile partner product development with cross-organizational teamwork
Develop beta trials of new partner products and offerings.
Align sales, marketing, and RFP departments with category strategy
Facilitate and maintain deep understanding of market and customer needs
Attend industry shows to promote the needs of the category and align possible partnerships
Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Collaborative leadership skills with management experience during periods of organization transition
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Highly proficient in Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Proven track record of managing products and delivering new features to the market
Proven track recording successfully growing product line value
Perform well under deadlines and ability to adapt with change
Ability to facilitate cross-department alignment on complicated projects
Proactive mindset to anticipate and support changes in our business.
High level of autonomy and ability to deliver on expected objectives
Proactively make decisions that improve product financials and KPI performance Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED
10 + years related experience, to include progressively increased levels of responsibility to include full P&L responsibility for product(s) lines.
25-50% Travel. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other business-related field
Deep knowledge in the assigned category with respect to categorization, pricing, distribution and vendor deal negotiation.
Knowledge of sales funneling process.
Ability to develop business plans to justify partner opportunities.
Experience with product management through all stages of the product lifecycle
Experience with telecommunication or digital communication related field Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and a variety of office equipment.
