Position Summary RSM is looking for a dynamic Business Development (BD) Director to drive growth in our Texas/Oklahoma market by selling Audit, Tax, and Consulting services to clients within the Business & Professional Services (BPS) industry segments across the market.
The focus will be on bringing in new clients in marketing and advertising, environmental and facility services, workforce solutions, architecture/engineering, law, accounting, and consulting firms. The Business Development Director will be responsible for driving growth of the firm's three primary service areas: Audit, Tax, and Consulting. Responsibilities include selling all RSM services within the market, such as Tax and Audit contracts, Fund Administration, Technical Accounting Consulting, Financial and Accounting Outsourcing, Valuation, Risk/Internal Audit, SOC/Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404, IT/System Selection, Cost Auditing, and Cost Segregation.
Responsibilities
Sourcing and qualifying new opportunities not currently served by the firm.
Executing the sales plan and coordinating internal and external resources to secure business.
Networking with contacts, industry groups, and Centers of Influence.
Collaborating with industry and line of business leaders to identify and target key companies.
Supporting cross-selling efforts to existing clients.
Developing targeted go-to-market plans with marketing resources.
Providing feedback on market opportunities to management.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of successful experience in selling professional services to mid-market companies ($20M to over $1B revenue).
Experience leading complex sales processes involving multiple decision-makers, primarily C-suite.
Network of contacts within middle market BPS companies and related professional services.
Proven ability to drive sales cycles from identification to closing.
Experience with RFP and SOW processes.
CRM experience for sales tracking.
Social media networking skills.
Excellent negotiation, influence, and executive presence skills.
Self-motivated with strong time management skills.
Willingness to travel locally and overnight when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
Active C-level network in TX/OK, especially in real estate.
Community involvement and participation in industry associations.
Experience with Big Four or similar firms preferred.
Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and organizational skills.

Salary range: $100,000 - $300,000, plus discretionary bonus based on performance.
