Healthy Kids Programs is a rapidly growing, certified benefit corporation specializing in Early Learning, Before and After School, and Summer Camp programs. The Before and After School Program Director will lead the Healthy Kids Program at Port Allegany Elementary School, overseeing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance, engaging children in a curriculum that spans fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts, and fostering a supportive environment for families.
Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with state guidelines, Healthy Kids policies, and host school rules.
Direct engaging, hands‑on activities based on the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including homework support.
Manage essential tasks: accurate attendance and registration records, staffing levels, and daily operations.
Maintain open communication with parents via the Playground App.
Collaborate with direct reports to address daily issues and ensure high quality care.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, special or elementary education, or human services (or associate degree with specified credits) plus required experience: 1–4 years with children based on degree level.
Medical fitness to perform job duties, free of communicable diseases.
Exceptional interpersonal and people‑skills with children, parents, and staff.
Ability to lift, carry, and handle activities up to 50 lbs.; ready to adapt to energetic kids.
