SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday, 9:00AM – 5:00PM with some evening availability required.
SUMMARY: Family Service League is seeking a full-time Assistant Program Director for our Mental Health Clinic in Huntington. The Assistant Program Director will work closely with the Program Director by providing administrative and clinical oversight of the day-to-day operations of an outpatient Mental Health Clinic.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversee staff, including recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and conducting supervisions and performance appraisals. Assist the Program Director in providing administrative and clinical oversight of the day-to-day operations of the clinic and clinic staff. Lead weekly team meetings and individual and/or group supervision to clinic staff and interns as needed. Act as backup for any clinic cases. Coordinate with medical staff to ensure appropriate provision of medical services and storage of medications. Work with the Program Director and other agency departments regarding the recruitment, hiring, and disciplinary action of employees. Ensure compliance with all NY-OMH regulations and standards of care including reporting, tracking and review of significant incidents through the NIMRS system; chart review/utilization review; monitoring of high-risk cases. Assist in reviewing all referrals and coordination with priority referral sources and coordinate open access process for referrals. Attend other scheduled meetings and trainings as requested. This may include off-site meetings. Maintain licensure in a relevant clinical field. All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in social work or related field required. Current active NYS clinical license and diagnostic privilege required. Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required. Minimum of 3 years of prior supervisory experience working in a mental health clinic setting, including serving clients with co-occurring disorders required. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records (EMR), required. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
