Overview Job Title: Asst Director Patient Care Location: Main Hospital - New Brunswick Department: Labor & Delivery Shift: Night Pay Range: $108,000.00 - $156,000.00 per year Facility: RWJ New Brunswick Req #: 0000216156 Status: Salaried Location address: One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901 Job Overview Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, an academic medical center and Level III Regional Perinatal Center, is seeking an Assistant Clinical Director to join our Labor and Delivery and Antepartum Unit on the night shift. Responsibilities Facilitates the safe and effective functioning of the unit as demonstrated by ensuring safe, high-quality, patient and family centered care for patients and newborns Interviewing and hiring unlicensed personnel Interviewing and hiring licensed personnel in collaboration with Nursing Director Planning, coordinating unit-based employee schedules and assignments Assisting with the completion of unit payroll Facilitates the orientation process for new employees: making assignments that maintain preceptor–orientee relationships, working with preceptors and orientees to resolve problems, and ensuring orientation is completed within an appropriate individualized time frame Contributes to the professional growth and development of staff by continuously assessing patient care to evaluate staff knowledge and performance Counseling staff on identified areas for improvement and evaluating staff performance with timely performance evaluations Counseling and implementing appropriate disciplinary action Planning and coordinating unit-based education programs as identified by unit needs Encourages staff participation in safety/quality initiatives when completing employee performance appraisals Qualifications Required BSN At least 3-5 years relative clinical practice National Certification for clinical specialty Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills Proficient computer skills Preferred Previous leadership experience highly preferred Certifications and Licenses Required ACLS and BLS NRP STABLE certification AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License Scheduling Requirements Night Shift 7p to 7:30a Sunday-Friday, weekend and holiday support as determined by unit needs FT Benefits and Perks Paid Time Off Medical and Prescription Drug Insurance Dental and Vision Insurance Retirement Plans Short and Long Term Disability Life and Accidental Death Insurance Tuition Reimbursement Health Care, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts Wellness Programs Voluntary Benefits Pet Insurance Discounts Through our Partners such as NJ Devils, NJ PAC, Verizon, and more Equal Opportunity RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
