About the Role:

Responsibilities
Programming: Design and implement innovative programming initiatives, integrating interdisciplinary perspectives and fostering creative thinking. Lead students through idea generation and market fit, encouraging them to explore diverse solutions to real-world problems while learning about start-up culture and social entrepreneurship.
Building Relationships: Forge partnerships with student groups, faculty, alumni, and local/national entrepreneurs to create a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem. Collaborate with the ‘68 Center’s External Relations Team to offer insight into internship and job opportunities at startups, sharing industry knowledge with students and staff.
Broader Contribution to Career Exploration and Education: As a member of the broader ‘68 Center Advising Team, collaborate on strategic initiatives, with a particular focus on contributing to more robust and innovative alumni engagement strategies. Empower students and fellow staff members with design thinking and innovation skills, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and adaptability.
Qualifications
Expertise in using of design thinking, business model canvas, or other design tools for innovation and entrepreneurship
Previous experience providing advising, teaching, or mentorship, ideally with young adults, especially in the context of entrepreneurship and innovation
Experience designing, delivering, and evaluating programs in an educational environment, ideally in higher education
Strong written and verbal communications skills, including persuasive writing and presenting to groups
Ability to build effective relationships with a diverse groups of students, faculty, staff, and college stakeholders
Ability to collaborate and contribute to strategy and operations of an evolving ‘68 Center team.
