Purpose: We are seeking an Associate Director, Professional Education Operations, who will be responsible for overseeing the operational effectiveness of the medical education strategy. This individual will be responsible for overseeing Content & Data strategies, Speakers Bureau Program, KOL training, HCP contract administration and other cross platform programs to support the Professional Education and Physician Program Development team. This leader will play a pivotal role in enhancing product understanding, procedural knowledge, and best practices associated with the Abiomed portfolio of products. Additionally, they will build a team and be responsible for running successful end-to-end education programming and developing measurement tools to assess impact. You will be responsible for: Strategy & Insights: Develop strategy for courses and other peer-to-peer initiatives, including design, execution, HCP engagement, and content strategy for Oversee the implementation of educational activities both in-person and virtually., primarily focused on portfolio wide speaker bureau programs, faculty training, webinars, and digital offerings Drive strategy and oversee execution of content & curriculum development, Heart recovery education digital brand and channels, learning management system and 3rd party partnerships to enhance digital educational offerings Develop and implement key performance indicators and mechanisms for evaluating the effectiveness and impact of educational programs, utilizing metrics such as participant feedback, knowledge assessments, and performance outcomes. Organize, conduct, and share readouts from advisory boards, users meetings and other events aligned with professional education goals Develop and refine processes to support compliant HCP interactions & engagements. Oversee execution of HCP engagement processes, policies and procedures People Leadership & Development: Recruit, lead, coach and mentor a team of Professional Education Managers promoting accountability, collaboration, and growth. Create clear development plans and provide regular performance feedback, recognition, and career guidance. Foster a culture of inclusion, psychological safety, and continuous improvement Conduct regular 1:1s, team meetings, and employee engagement initiatives to drive morale and alignment. Lead hiring, onboarding, and training initiatives to ensure team readiness and cohesion. HCP Engagement: Oversee and lead end-to-end management of HCP consulting contracts process for Heart Recovery including needs assessments, contract generation, execution and compliance monitoring. Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, and academic institutions to foster partnerships and enhance program & content credibility. Engage with healthcare professionals to understand their educational needs and gather feedback for continuous program improvement. Maintain strong partnership with Medical Affairs field team, Global Strategic Marketing, US Commercial Marketing, PPD and Commercial team, for provider engagement and field insights and market development execution. Compliance & governance: Maintain accurate & auditable documentation related to HCP interactions and contracting processes to support compliance monitoring & reporting Ensure all activities adhere to the highest standards of integrity and comply with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards, maintaining full compliance with governing bodies. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to accreditation standards, industry codes of conduct. Qualifications/ Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelors degree required, advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in professional education within a medical device or pharmaceutical organization, with more than 2 years experience leading a full-service professional education team. 3+ years in people leadership with proved track record of success. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Launch experience. MCS experience preferred. Strong understanding of instructional design, adult learning principles and use of learning management systems Established relationships with Key Opinion Leaders Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously required. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse audiences, as well as collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders required. Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements for HCP interactions & contracting. Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results and create processes designed to enhance operational efficiencies of the Professional Education team. Strong understanding of medical devices, MCS procedures, and clinical applications. Ability to travel up to 50% required.
