Job Overview
Plan, manage, and direct daily parking operations for one or more service area within parking services.
Essential Functions
Manage the administrative activities of a service unit within parking services in which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact on internal and external relations. Develop long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department, university goals for areas of responsibility, monitors and achieves established goals. Recommend, implement, and interpret internal parking rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels; develop and implement responsive service programs. Attend meetings on behalf of the director; consult with director on major policy changes affecting other departments; authority to grant exceptions; may function for the Director in his/her absence, as required. Develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; authority for function budget, revenue and expense planning and approving expenditure; delegated signature authority for programs or functions within department or center. Responsible for establishing collaborating efforts with administrative and academic units; serve as administrative liaison for internal and external business partners and community visitors. Supervise the Field Services and Service Center areas. Oversee Fifth Third Arena cleaning and the Golf Cart/Gem Car Rental Program. May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelors Degree. Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
Required Experience
Five (5) years of relevant experience. Supervision experience.
