JOB SUMMARY:
The Associate Director of Business Banking Administration is responsible for supporting the Business Banking effort in a productive, efficient, and professional manner. This role is responsible for supporting Business Banking activity and production. This role will support the Director to meet strategic objectives, manage risk, and develop and execute a portfolio strategy aligned with the Bank's strategic goals. Additionally, this role shall support front line staff in their effort to meet sales goals, manage their portfolios, and provide a high level of customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor the Business Banking pipeline (manage new credits and renewals in various stages of credit underwriting and processing for credits/relationships that fall within Business Banking) and support Regional and Market Presidents to ensure Portfolio Manager resources are available when needed
• Ensure Portfolio Managers in Business Banking are properly trained and underwriting is consistent with Business Banking Loan policy
• Work with lending staff in each Market to ensure they have adequate access to tools to underwrite consistent with Business Banking Loan Policy
• Monitor loan yields and fees to ensure pricing is consistent and adequate
• Provide communication to the Market Presidents and Business Banking Lenders when corrective action is needed. (retraining or reiteration of United Bank’s Business Banking policy and how to implement it or how it applies to the specific credit)
• Strategic partner to the Chief Commercial Banking Officer for Business Banking sales and service.
• Maintain and grow a quality Business Banking portfolio by leading prudent risk, compliance, and portfolio management practices.
• Work closely with other internal business lines to identify opportunities to cross sell Bank products and services
• Guide product development and implementation to provide profitable and competitive service offerings
• Build a culture that maximizes revenue generation, increases customer satisfaction, retention and market share growth
• Support for the Director of Business Banking Administration and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS: • High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree highly desired
• Minimum of seven (7) years of lending-related experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage internal and external business relationships
• Demonstrated ability to coach and lead staff effectively is required
• High level of market/industry/product expertise is required
• Ability to adhere to all policies, practices and regulations pertaining to industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products is required
• Demonstrate ability to meet deadlines and multi-task
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
