The Office of Annual Giving atOberlin College and Conservatoryseeks applications for the position ofAssociate Director of Annual Giving.This is a full-time 12-month, Administrative and Professional Staff position in the Office of Advancement, reporting to the Director of Annual Giving. The Associate Director of Annual Giving, in alignment with the colleges Advancement strategy, will develop, execute, and evaluate a comprehensive direct response program that engages alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of Oberlin College & Conservatory. Responsibilities: In conjunction with the Director of Annual Giving and annual giving team members, construct and execute a College-wide annual plan for direct mail, email, telephone, text, and crowdfunding solicitation programs within the context of the overall annual giving goal. Provide support and assistance to the Director of Annual Giving for planning and execution of large annual giving campaigns such as the annual day of giving. Act as project manager for annual giving print and email projects, including securing quotes from vendors, coordinating work orders with administrative staff, determining design needs, managing timelines, and overseeing quality control. Work closely with the Office of Communications to produce fundraising materials and campaign messaging (print, email, video, and social media) to ensure brand compliance and create a cohesive annual giving program. Write copy for emails, letters, print ads, and other communications as needed. Partner with the Parent & Family Giving team to plan and execute annual giving campaigns for parents. Work with the Director of Annual Giving to plan and revise program strategy as it pertains to retention, renewal, and acquisition. Review and analyze data, prepare reports, benchmark program progress, and recommend actions to be taken as a result of that information. Participate in departmental meetings and assist with special events, including giving days, class reunions, and others as needed. Undertake special projects and duties as directed. Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree and a minimum of two to three years professional experience in advancement or a comparable field, such as marketing or communications. Proven ability to develop and execute fundraising or marketing campaigns with measurable success. The ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities and complex projects simultaneously. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and with others within the Advancement division and across campus. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write and edit solicitation and cultivation materials, business correspondence, and reports. Ability to analyze and summarize data, recognize patterns and significant data points, and make recommendations based on the information. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft suite of applications; willingness to learn new programs and applications in a prompt and efficient manner. Desired Qualifications: Knowledge of Blackbauds Raisers Edge or similar platforms; experience with online event and broadcast email tools. Familiarity with other data management and digital communications tools.
