We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Associate Medical Strategy Director to work closely with and report to the Executive Director Oncology Clinical Strategy to support our C-Management Inc (CMI) association management division in critical business development initiatives that will establish the foundation for our strategic growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Needs Assessment Analyze member, partner, and beneficiary needs through existing data and feedback systems
Competitive Landscape Analysis Proactively monitor published literature and the competitive landscape to align all communications with medical strategy
Scan and identify RFPs from relevant funders
Maintain master calendar of relevant grant deadlines and funding cycles
Utilize insights from continuous monitoring of medical developments and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and business efforts for expansion
Project/Grant Proposal Support: Join business development (BD) team on pharma/biotech client calls to understand objectives and outline program formats
Translate information obtained from client calls into strong project/grant proposal ideas with BD leads
Review program considerations forms
Coordinate proposal development with grant writing team
Review proposals developed by the grant writing team
Write proposals where needed
Join BD and content teams on project update calls to generate new project ideas and continuously grow project opportunities/number
Innovation, Process Improvement and Business Growth Work closely with BD team and relevant stakeholders to generate new program formats/meeting opportunities and refine current formats/meetings for audience growth and revenue
Improve proposals process and content continuously
identify improved strategies to tie metrics and outcomes data into proposals to increase win rate
Analyze funding success patterns and recommendations for improvement
Travel as needed to relevant CMI association meetings as well as relevant third party meetings (ASCO, ASCO-QI, MASCC, ASH and others) to support BD in generating new business
Work with BD to identify new corporate clients
Flag any potentialt association clients
Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure process and program innovation and smooth execution which ties into business growth
Partnerships Develop and maintain partnerships with oncology professional societies, advocacy groups, and other organizations that are strategically relevant to CMI clients and programs
Content Review
Support review of content developed by internal teams as needed
Qualifications:
Degree in health care or health care program management field required; MS, MPH, RN, APP, MD, PhD, PharmD preferred.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in the Association Management, Medical Communications, Pharmaceutical/Biotechnology, Health Care industry is desirable.
Preferred scientific knowledge and experience in oncology
Comprehensive understanding of association management business
Demonstrated ability to discuss complex medical information with a range of audiences (clinicians, patient advocates, Subject Matter Experts/key opinion leaders (KOLs), payers, decision-makers, and policy influencers).
Project management experience with ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
Ability to independently analyze and process complex information quickly; problem solve and implement needed solutions.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment and collaborate with high-performing colleagues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
Compensation Range :
$100,000– $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for this position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
