The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Director, IT Sourcing Procurement, as the Associate Director, I&T Sourcing, you will be responsible for sourcing across multiple sub-categories in software, hardware and telecoms across CSL Behring, CSL Seqirus, and CSL Vifor (the entire CSL Group). You will ensure the best possible value for CSL while managing risk and maintaining compliance in sourcing practices. You will be directly involved in major global sourcing or bid activities, driving key transformational projects, and building and maintaining relationships with key senior stakeholders internal to CSL Group and within large, global vendors.
This is a hybrid role, which offers a combination of an onsite and remote work schedule. #LI-hybrid
The Role:
Develop Plans aligned to CSL Global and Procurement Objectives
Develop and implement annual action plans for relevant categories based on the Procurement Objectives and other relevant business requirements within CSL to ensure clear objectives and action plans for Global Category Management Lead roles resulting in the reduction of the total cost of ownership and risk, while increasing innovation, customer service, compliance, and quality.
Take a leadership position and drive collaborate with the respective business unit on complex problem resolution, investigative data analytics, process reengineering and establishment of a sustainable program that will fill a global need while being consistent within all Company areas affected.
Maintain significant business relationships information technology partners to ensure the best solutions are being proposed to CSL that will drive innovation and the best-in-class financial models for selected solutions are developed and maintained.
Develop year over year cost reduction models and develop/implement projects that drive the consolidation of suppliers across all of information technology.
Sourcing/Supplier Process
Take lead in managing the RfP/RfI cycle working with different stakeholders across the globe. Manage the sourcing and supplier selection process, including creating a sourcing project, researching, and developing supplier shortlist, and assembling and managing RFI project team through RFX/RFI process for smaller local sourcing events, including:
Planning and executing sourcing-related activities in Ariba eSourcing
Conducting supplier qualifications, including scoring assessment results, analyzing information to evaluate risks, and completing due diligence reviews, as per globally defined standards and policies
Implementing Source Plan based on agreed upon performance metrics
Monitoring and reporting current local category market conditions and technology roadmaps; including identify supply and demand?challenges and opportunities
Review assigned spend and proactively identify spend optimization opportunities.
Lead, manage, and report on a portfolio of initiatives to ensure saving targets are being met
Maintain updated track and trace of reporting of sourcing KPIs and dashboards.
Contract Negotiation
Drive local contract negotiation and management, in alignment with diverse stakeholders including in IT, sourcing, supplier alliance management, legal and compliance.
Develop key performance measures for smaller, local suppliers and negotiate to award longer-term strategic contracts that result in significant cost reduction and improved service levels
Compile agreements according to standard or non-standard services based on local law and global contracting standards and review counter changes with Legal, based on global policies.
Secure approval from proper signatories before confirming and publishing
Update, verify, and publish contract content in the Contract Management Systems
Provide advice and assistance about company contracts policy, templates, procedures and purchasing terms compliance, including supplying necessary contract guidelines
Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
Establish and manage SRM processes with suppliers within the category as per supplier segmentation, including risk management policies in accordance with global policies, to enhance relationships and innovations with suppliers to deliver required supply, quality, service, continuous improvement, and innovation while minimizing costs for CSL and develop processes to measure value beyond savings in line with CSLs values and procurement objective.
Implement Global procedures to ensure execution of sourcing activities in compliance with CSL Sourcing Policy, Code of Responsible Business Practices, and all other compliance standards.
Strictly adhere to the CSL Supplier Risk Management policies and procedures. Utilize the CSL Supplier Risk Management tools as appropriate.
Manage Key Internal and External Stakeholders and Partners Relationships
Build and maintain effective professional relationships with senior, internal stakeholders and senior external executives within large vendors to deliver upon Procurements objectives by ongoing discussions and participation in formal teams and groups with senior leaders in CSL and external vendors to manage supplier performance, issues, procurement improvement initiatives and other broader business issues.
Drive Innovation
Lead and participate in global transformation projects and continuous improvement initiatives as required to ensure the delivery of targeted benefits.
Your Skills and Abilities:
Bachelors degree in information technology or related technology field.
Post graduate business degree, highly regarded.
Academic qualification in supply chain/procurement preferred.
Minimum 12 years experience in strategic sourcing or relevant industry experience.
Minimum 2 years senior leadership experience, preferably of a global team or demonstrated influencer of global process and/or teams.
Relevant graduate degree highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience in Hardware and Software licensing metrics and models.
Working knowledge of telecom and mobile licensing and pricing structures.
Experience and knowledge of various infrastructure and application design and connectivity.
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry or related industry preferred but not essential.
Travel Requirements:
Combined domestic and international 10-20% as needed/upon approval
Travel requirements will vary depending upon where the incumbent is based.
