Job Description:
The Associate Director of Investments is a key member of the investment team responsible for managing the endowment of Mount Holyoke College, the oldest continuing women's college in the US. The investment office is based in Harvard Square in Cambridge, MA and was formed in 2020 to oversee the $1 billion endowment, which is a critical resource for the College providing significant support to operations and financial aid.
The office is looking to add an investor to its tightknit team, currently comprised of the CIO, a director of investments, and an analyst. Everyone on the team works collaboratively as generalists executing on a shared vision and investment philosophy across asset classes globally. While the primary focus of this investment role is on identifying and building deep relationships with a group of world class investment managers, team members are expected to wear multiple hats and contribute across all aspects of the office and portfolio. This presents a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact, multi-faceted role in an investment office that is highly collaborative and also entrepreneurial.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Aid in determining overall portfolio strategy, including broad asset allocation decisions Source and evaluate investment opportunities across asset classes with a focus on private investments including, but not limited to, venture capital, growth equity, buyouts, and real assets Evaluate, monitor and manage existing relationships in the endowment portfolio Lead or co-lead due diligence on external investment funds, conduct analytics and reference calls Lead special projects and areas of research Prepare and deliver oral and written investment reports and proposals Required Qualifications: Bachelor 's Degree with a record of high academic achievement 5+ years of relevant prior experience Preferred Qualifications: Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation is a plus Full Job Description
Hiring Range: $143,783 - $191,504
