Associate Director, Hr Policy & Employee Relations About The Role's Contributions:
60% - Collaborate with the legal team and the HR department to provide guidance on employment risk management, HR policy interpretation, application, and compliance. This role will oversee the Employee Relations Center of Excellence, including guiding or conducting fact-finding interviews and follow up in line with best practices. Additionally, this position supports the creation of offer letters, separation/severance agreements, and policy training/education, and ensures compliance with contingent worker and affirmative action/EEO regulations.
40% - Lead reporting and analysis of HR policy benchmarking and employee relations trends. Track and disseminate key learnings and best practices. Manage projects, drive process improvements, and undertake additional duties as assigned.
The Role's Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent training and/or experience. SHRM designations are a plus.
Experience: Minimum six years of experience in a related role actively responding to and providing guidance of employment claims, internal investigations, and affirmative action and EEO matters. Experience working in a labor relations environment is highly preferred, but not required. Strong investigative skills and experiences managing varied situations. Solid working knowledge and experience with state and federal employment laws, in multi-state jurisdictions. High ethical standards. Experience in the media industry and with unionized employees strongly preferred, but is not required. Task orientated with proven ability to drive positive results.
Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities: Must be a self-starter with the ability to consult, negotiate and influence others. Project management skills; managing shifts in priorities as customer needs change. Ability to deliver results in a consultative and collaborative manner and maintain confidentiality and discretion. Must be an effective problem solver with solid judgment. Clear and effective communicator in both verbal and written communication. High technical proficiency including HRIS, MS Office and Google applications, database management and other HR technologies. Training and facilitation skills are helpful.

Pay Range: Salary: New York: $105,000.00 - $125,000.00
