**Job Description** **Associate Director Foreign Trade Zone** The Associate Director FTZ will be a key Trade team member within the Logistics & Regions Org. of our Company's Research & Development Global Clinical Supply Chain. The core responsibilities are full ownership and accountability of several FTZ's and spearheading future establishment of new FTZs as required. The ideal candidate will apply their FTZ expertise to proactively identify opportunities for use and align with the related enterprise-wide initiatives, ensuring no conflict in wider efforts and business strategies. High degree of proactivity and Trade compliance rigor is required. The successful candidate will have a proven record of establishing and maintaining business relationships and partnerships. They will proactively become knowledgeable of business activities and proactively assess and determine cases for FTZ use. Support will be provided in the administration of the FTZ's; however, the position is required to independently manage responsibilities and priorities, demonstrate strong FTZ/Trade and customs skills, work effectively within the team, organizational stakeholders and external authorities. The successful candidate will exhibit strong leadership behaviors and project management skills. _Opportunity_ _for_ _an individual leader or team leader_ **Responsibilities** Accountability and end to end ownership of several FTZ's, ensuring compliant use and record keeping Act as the FTZ administrator for both Rahway and West Point sites and will perform all CBP regulatory activities to maintain FTZ compliance which include inventory tracking and reconciliations of FTZ materials with CBP Act as FTZ lead at internal and external audits Collaborate with Global Trade function to ensure alignment on FTZ strategies Manage the Zone related content on team-sites Effectively manage questions and queries relating to FTZ's within ownership Interface closely with colleagues in Global Trade, finance, tax and the various businesses to identify and ensure all are informed of FTZ activities and ensure compliance Design and maintain streamlined FTZ related processes and procedures and provide training as required Coordinate with Global Trade team the prior/voluntary disclosure efforts on Zone issues, if required and manage disclosure related CAPA Create and maintain internal procedures covering the process steps of key activities Understand and interpret applicable legislation and monitor Zone related legislative changes in collaboration with Global Trade function. Coordinate communication of changes to the business. The salary range for this role is $114,700.00 - $180,500.00 This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
