Position Summary The Associate Director serves as the primary liaison for the dining contract, ensuring compliance, driving service improvements, and enhancing the campus dining experience. Collaborating with the dining provider, this role addresses operational issues, fosters innovation, and leads engagement initiatives to support student satisfaction and campus life.
Main Responsibilities Dining Oversight and Contract Management: Manage dining contracts, coordinate with vendors, and promote service quality and innovation.
Program Engagement & Daily Operations: Oversee daily dining operations, ensure quality and safety, and engage with students and staff for feedback and improvement.
Compliance & Contract Oversight: Monitor vendor performance, conduct reviews and audits, and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Catering & Event Collaboration: Develop catering options, ensure service quality, and support campus events.
Assessment & Feedback: Lead feedback collection and analysis, oversee surveys, and implement improvements.
Emergency Response & Dining Systems: Coordinate emergency plans, respond to incidents, and manage dining systems.
Technology & Innovation: Coordinate tech upgrades, monitor trends, and ensure responsiveness.
Budget Oversight: Manage budget related to professional development, quality assurance, and projects.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications 5+ years in dining services management, hospitality, or related fields, preferably in higher education.
Experience with contract management, vendor relations, and compliance monitoring.
Experience in event planning and catering, supporting both small and large-scale events.
Knowledge of dining operation technology and data analysis tools.
Serve Safe certification within first 6 months.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and relevant booking/diagramming software.
Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
Employer Qualifications Successful completion of background and reference checks required.
