Overview Associate Director, Field Reimbursement, Immunology Gastroenterology role at AbbVie. This role is field-based and requires residence within a reasonable distance from the primary city. Geography The geography includes the following cities: Atlanta, Georgia Orlando, Florida Birmingham, Alabama Responsibilities Manage and coach a regional team of Field Access Specialists (FAS) who educate HCPs on patient experience programs, focusing on access and reimbursement support. Ensure the FAS team engages customers to understand key coverage, coding, payment, product acquisition, and affordability dynamics for AbbVie products in their geography. Spend time with FAS and conduct quarterly field rides to ensure compliant and effective use of AbbVie tools and materials. Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure compliance with AbbVie expectations and ways of working. Engage with internal stakeholders (Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, Access and Reimbursement hub) in a compliant and effective manner. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access in neuroscience, managed health care, payer account management, field reimbursement, or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience leading field teams with coaching, management, and development responsibilities. Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience. Thorough understanding of payer policy processes, systems, and requirements for coverage, coding, and payment for specialty medicines. Understanding of rules, regulations, and risks associated with reimbursement support services and how to monitor/mitigate them. Comprehensive understanding of Parts A, B, C and D or Medicare and related reimbursement dynamics. Strong knowledge of drug acquisition and dispensing in the neuroscience space (specialty pharmacies, distributors, white-bagging, etc.). Proven leadership capabilities and track record of driving results. Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment drug screening; safe driving requirements. HCIR credentialing requirements to gain/maintain entry into facilities and organizations in the assigned territory; responsible for satisfying all credentialing requirements.
