Reporting to the Director, Cyber and IT Risk within Group Risk Management Enterprise Resilience Risk (ERR), you will drive the Second Line of Defense engagement across all Regulatory Examinations and Regulatory Issue Remediation. The work entails collaborating effectively with global Cyber and Technology Risk, Business Regulatory & Issues Management Team, US Regulatory Relations Team, and Global IT Risk (Cyber Security, Technology & Operations) teams to ensure that regulatory examination requirements are met across the first and second lines of defense. This role offers a broad perspective and high-profile exposure across Technology and ORM. What will you do? Perform reviews and challenge all regulatory submissions to ensure accuracy, validity, completeness, and alignment with RBC policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify improvement areas through review of regulatory submissions; communicate issues, risks, and control gaps with the broader Second Line of Defense team and subject matter domain leads to facilitate targeted deep dives. Coordinate and draft Second Line of Defense Regulatory Exam First Day Letter Requests. Plan, execute, and deliver oversight, review, and challenge for regulatory workstreams within the US. Partner with senior leaders within US Operations and Global Technology to ensure integrated activities across regulatory remediation. Ensure that remediation outputs have traceability to root causes and regulatory responses with proper governance signoff. Review and challenge regulatory remediation activities for alignment with corrective actions and proper documentation. Track and report trends and gaps within regulatory activity and submissions. What do you need to succeed? Undergraduate degree in Technology or Business with at least 7 years of experience in Technology, IT Risk, or Internal Audit, including risk analysis and reporting roles. Detail-oriented, operationally savvy, and action-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset. Knowledge of regulatory and risk management in financial services. Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders and regulators, and to manage relationships across large organizations. Experience in a large, global financial services company is preferred. Certifications such as CISSP, CRISC, or other Information Security certifications are preferred. At least 5 years of experience in IT risk management is preferred. Working knowledge of GRC tools (e.g., Archer, ServiceNow) is preferred. What's in it for you? The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $190,000 (New Jersey) and $85,000 - $150,000 (MN), depending on experience, skills, registration status, market conditions, and business needs. This range does not include other elements of total compensation such as discretionary bonuses, benefits, 401(k) matching, health/dental/vision insurance, and paid time off.
