About This Role:
The Associate Director of Corporate Engagement at Kansas State University plays a vital role in advancing the university's strategic objectives through corporate engagement. Responsibilities include cultivating relationships with corporate partners, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration internally, and promoting innovation externally. They also refine strategies using data and feedback and provide program support. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, they collaborate closely with the Executive Director of Corporate Engagement to ensure cohesive efforts in achieving university goals. Duties include but are not limited to: Assisting in implementing strategies to strengthen partnerships with corporations. Supporting the University’s Economic Prosperity Plan and foster innovation through collaboration. Representing K-State at industry events to promote capabilities and forge partnerships. Cultivating relationships with potential partners and facilitate collaboration opportunities. Identifying funding opportunities and leverage university resources for economic development. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify joint initiatives. Managing corporate engagement operations and stay informed about relevant policies. Using data to measure performances and improve outcomes. Supporting coordination of communication across departments and disciplines. Preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders and funding agencies. To see what benefits are available Principles of Community. What You’ll Need to Succeed: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and five years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications: Education Bachelor’s degree in job-related field. Experience Four years of successful corporate engagement, economic development, business development and/or customer management facing experience.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, preferably in a higher education or research environment.Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.Ability to travel, including some nights and weekends.Demonstrated success at managing complex issues and relationships.Exhibits a strong commitment to the land grant mission of Kansas State University.
