This position supports UI Health’s fundraising, stewardship, and engagement needs through multimedia content production, project management, copywriting, and creative services. The role collaborates with senior leadership to translate complex health and advancement topics into clear, compelling storytelling for targeted and broad audiences. Duties & Responsibilities Produce compelling Health Advancement communications content with a primary focus on impact reports for donors, newsletters, web copy, campaign materials, marketing materials, sales sheets, stewardship materials, and personalized correspondence. Manage content production from conception to publication; develop project briefs and timelines; assign tasks; monitor progress; troubleshoot as needed; ensure timely delivery of high-quality finished products. Organize and facilitate small group meetings to brainstorm and ideate; keep team members informed of progress and alert stakeholders to potential issues. Conduct research and compile source material; collaborate with the Director, Donor Acquisition and Engagement and other team members to capture raw material for storytelling. Edit, fact-check, and proofread content; ensure materials are on brand and adhere to style guidelines and approved messaging. Coordinate relationships with vendors and freelance writers; liaise among wordsmiths, designers, and Advancement colleagues. Maintain a deep understanding of each unit’s work to ensure content reflects current activities and priorities. Build branded plug-and-play templates for donor communications. Maintain a digital repository of materials and assist team members in accessing collateral as needed. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, radio/television broadcasting, web/digital media, or a related field. One (1) year of professional work experience in public relations, journalism, social media communications, newspaper reporting, radio/television broadcasting with emphasis on production, or web/digital media. Demonstrated experience creating content for professional publications with advanced skills using desktop publishing tools such as Adobe InDesign. Note: Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one year of work experience. Preferred Qualifications Strong command of visual communication principles. At least three years of relevant work experience, including at least two years in a development/fundraising environment. Exceptional writing skills and strong command of the English language; excellent attention to detail. High proficiency with MS Office Suite; ability to adapt writing style to different audiences, channels, and contexts. Experience writing donor-centric communications and with compelling storytelling; strong editing skills; ability to adhere to brand guidelines. Research skills and data literacy; experience producing technical or clinical content for general audiences. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills; ability to work with professionals across functions. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; excellent organizational skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. AI competency, including ethically-minded experience with content generative and predictive analytics tools.
