The Maritime team develops and maintains core products and payloads, and adapts and applies those products to serve a wide variety of defense, IC and commercial customers in US and international markets.
About The Job The Maritime Division builds integrated autonomous maritime systems, including surface and undersea vehicles, subsea sensing, and kinetic payloads, all powered by our Lattice platform. These capabilities provide persistent detection, tracking, and mission execution for both commercial and defense applications.
We are seeking an Associate Director, Integrated Maritime Effects, to join our rapidly growing Business Development team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure end-to-end maritime mission capabilities that address customer needs. You will drive a software-first strategy across multiple products and business lines to integrate capabilities and deliver effective solutions. Your responsibilities will include shaping hardware and software product roadmaps and leading capture campaigns to secure contracts and deliver capability. This role requires a deep understanding of undersea kill chains and the challenges of subsea operations. A proven track record in influencing product roadmaps and collaborating with multiple program offices, services, and international partners to deliver capabilities is required.
What You’ll Do Generate and capture business opportunities. Support growth by identifying, pursuing, and shaping opportunities for the Undersea Reconnaissance and Strike portfolio. Develop deep understanding of the client base, programmatic and technical roadmaps, and competitive landscape. Plan, initiate, and manage engagements with current clients and prospective customers; monitor buying cycles; support proposals and new customer efforts, including authoring and reviewing RFI, RFP, and other responses.
Grow existing business. Partner with adjacent business lines and product engineers to identify opportunities for growth with current clients and explore new opportunity areas by leveraging existing relationships.
Communicate our value to clients. Represent Anduril to clients, partners, competitors, and the public, conveying insights on our approach to next-generation defense technology and competitive advantages.
Inform product development. Translate client needs into actionable internal plans and product roadmaps; inform priorities and execution; keep stakeholders informed and ensure performance aligns with milestones.
Required Qualifications Proven development and growth leadership with experience in commercial or DoD Capture and Sales, with a track record of building, executing, and winning capture strategies, especially with the US Navy as a customer.
Knowledge of defense acquisitions, with history of zero-to-one defense program growth a plus.
Experience with undersea technology, edge processing, fleet integration, and acoustic systems; familiarity with undersea platforms, acoustic communications and sensing, and related payloads and missions.
Experience in internal operations management and familiarity with the product lifecycle from birth to sustainment.
High-energy, high-ownership leader able to drive performance in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with strong emotional intelligence.
Excellent writing and communication skills with experience briefing senior executives and customers.
Knowledge of relevant DoD/IC/Commercial programs, platforms and payloads, including enabling technologies, systems integration and software development.
Current active U.S. Secret security clearance or the ability to maintain one.
Preferred Qualifications Expertise in Undersea Warfare, Distributed Maritime Operations, Undersea Operations Centers, Surveillance Systems and Decision Support Systems.
Experience with government business development, government contract structures, and government proposal processes.
Prior military or contracting experience in DoD or Government.
Ability to travel 20-50%, including international.
Masters or PhD in electrical engineering, physics or computer science.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
Salary and Benefits US Salary Range: $166,000—$220,000 USD
