Associate Director, Athletics Integrated Communication The University of Memphis is seeking an Associate Director, Athletics Integrated Communication. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and three years of sports information, communications, or other relevant experience in collegiate athletics. A valid driver’s license is required. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of social media best practices and the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. The position requires working independently and collaboratively with the departmental team and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include: Coordinating communications strategies for assigned Tigers programs and providing secondary support to other athletic programs as needed. Developing, monitoring, and updating social media platforms with a focus on Facebook, X, and Instagram. Creating and distributing press releases, media advisories, and other written materials to announce news, updates, and events related to Memphis Football. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of communications efforts with overall departmental goals. Updating content and contributing toward the creative direction of the department’s website, GoTigersGo.com. Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to generate coverage and enhance visibility. Coordinating game-day communications operations, including staffing for media relations and statistics staffing and management. The position offers a salary range of $52,500 - $55,000 per year and requires working Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., with occasional nights, weekends, and holidays. Travel may be required.
