Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000 based on experience-level and qualifications Summary of Role At Parallel Path, we help ambitious health and brands grow faster through the power of digital-first marketing. With almost 20 years of history, we are a nimble and growing agency with offices in Boulder, CO, and Columbus, OH. We are seeking an experienced Associate Creative Director to join our team. The Associate Creative Director will lead and build and advance the creative department by managing and inspiring talent at various levels. The Associate Creative Director should be a conceptual thinker with a pulse on design and GenAI technology who also demonstrates a passion for doing the work as much as leading it. This person will partner with strategy, performance media, earned/owned media, analytics and technology directors and is expected to be an exceptional collaborator with both teammates and clients, actively listening and understanding their true needs while developing a trusting relationship to push for the best user experience possible. The Associate Creative Director will inspire the design team to understand and apply consumer insights to deliver great creative that delivers business results for clients. Role will have an approximate split of 75% client-focused work/direction and 25% internal-focused work as a leader, coach and mentor Thought Leadership & Vision: Actively creates thought leadership articles and/or presentations to present to clients/prospects and internal team members as well as for publishing across Parallel Path’s digital footprint. Proactively shares trend reports and industry opportunities Primary KPIs: YOY departmental growth across team members, client NPS feedback, departmental revenue and YOY increase of creative service offering across clients Creative Leadership: Develops relationships with clients by providing support to solve broad strategic, creative, brand and marketing problems. Participates in strategic client planning meetings, listening for opportunities to both expand and contribute to their evolving marketing needs. Collaborates with other department leads to provide industry insight, deep dive client reviews, and align on agency priorities. Becomes a trusted advisor to clients, consults on growth opportunities and identifies new ways to use design to solve business challenges New Business: Able to help pitch/win new business, audit current creative performance, provide recommendations and create presentation materials Standard Operating Procedures/Best Practices: Define and document SOP’s for the creative department to drive consistent performance and high quality outcomes at all times Leading a multi-disciplinary team of creators through concepting, development and delivery of design, content and experiences Is able to establish the creative vision for all client work, present ideas with a clear and confident point of view and participate in new business opportunities as needed Leading the creation of brand development and voice and tone, can develop brand guides with best practices in place to deliver playbooks designed to organize experience strategy outputs into an actionable takeaway Responsible for learning, testing and implementing new GenAI tools and actively leveraging those tools across appropriate client projects Ability and experience in leading and directing video productions and photo shoots and is able to create and edit video content as well as motion graphics Has a passion for learning and is continuously building on their understanding of the industry through research on trends Qualifications BA/BS in Fine Arts, or related field Strong proficiency in design and GenAI software (Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, Firefly; Canva, Figma, Midjourney, ChatGPT, Claude, Runway, Topaz Labs, etc.) In-depth knowledge of integrated marketing and CRM disciplines (including primary research, social media marketing, customer segmentation, targeting, direct marketing, customer care) Has expert knowledge on creative social media best practices, trends and limitations Motivated and able to work in a self-directed manner Comfortable presenting work in an understandable way to both client executives and day-to-day professionals 4 – 6 years experience leading and managing a team 8 – 12 years of relevant work experience Based near one of our office locations – Boulder, CO or Columbus, OH Experience creating deliverables across all stages of the consumer journey Prior experience in a digital agency We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate in recruitment, hiring, training, promotion or other employment practices for reasons of race, color, religion, gender, sexual/gender orientation, national origin, age, marital or veteran status, medical condition or disability, or any other legally protected status.
