The ACD, a conceptual and visual expert in interactive marketing, provides project level leadership to the creative team (art director/copywriter/designer) for the realization of all creative strategies. The ACD is facile with all forms of online marketing and media and is charged with developing compelling art and copy in a variety of tones and styles to a wide array of target audiences. The ACD coordinates the execution of creative assignments, provides mentoring, and approves the work of his/her creative team. ACDs possess excellent written skills and are persuasive presenters. They are the primary client-facing creative contact on all projects. The ACD fosters creative synergy between other DDB divisions and insures proper creative integration.
Responsibilities
Is the creative team leader and primary creative decision maker on all client projects and business development initiatives.
Realizes the brand vision and marketing objectives through strong concepts and executions.
Helps the creative team establish tone, character, and messages that will effectively communicate with the target audience and fulfill the marketing objectives.
Manages and mentors copywriters, designers and Art Directors by providing inspiring direction for both projects and long-term professional growth.
Directs all external creative vendors (illustrators, production houses, photographers, comp artists, and video producers).
Plans, creates, and presents powerful concepts and executions. Possesses strong written and presentation skills.
Oversees the creation and production of presentation materials.
Responsible for the proper placement, context and meaning of creative element, as well as the overall message within a creative assignment.
Reports state of account and current projects to Director of Creative Services on a regular basis
Executes creative process for development and production as established by Director of Creative Services
Constantly explores communication innovations that may enhance a client’s marketing message.
Proactively defines and assembles all necessary creative assets with the Project Manager and the Account Lead.
Works daily with the Project Manager to ensure all deliverables and deadlines are met within budget.
Spreads expertise, passion, and innovation throughout the team and the Creative Department.
Collaborates with other creative staff to share learning and experience and to establish initiatives that will improve Tribal’s creative product.
Provides the department with procedural initiatives that will enhance quality, productivity, and profitability.
Partners with Account, Media, Production and Technical counterparts to enhance quality, productivity, and profitability of the group’s work.
Contributes to overall office morale, spirit, and character
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience as copywriter in a brand or digital agency.
3-5 years’ experience as a creative manager.
Proven ability to develop award-winning creative concepts, art direction, and design.
Proven ability to collaborate with a cross-functional team of strategists, creatives, and channel specialists.
