Position Requirements: Candidate is expected to teach 24 credit hours per academic year in addition to other responsibilities.

Position Details: 10-month, full-time appointment in the Jeanette C. Rudy School of Nursing and Health Professions. Teaching to include a variety of online and/or hybrid courses in the MSN program. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to participate in scholarly and university & community service.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Doctorate degree (DNP or PhD) from a regionally or nationally accredited institution.
Current Tennessee or compact RN license.
Current Tennessee or compact APRN license in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Practice.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Strong leadership skills in developing, evaluating, and marketing graduate programs.
Knowledge and skills with software applications including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Proficiency in using instructional technologies to teach hybrid and/or distance learning (online) courses.
Demonstrate responsibility for curriculum development and instruction.
Understanding of and willingness to teach competencies required for specific courses.
Excellence in teaching and facilitating the learning process for students.
Applying diverse instructional strategies with emphasis in developing and delivering online courses.
Excellent oral, written, and listening skills.
Assign and update grades for courses in a timely fashion.
Complete course assessment documentation upon course conclusion.
Willingness to work in an inter-disciplinary capacity with other majors with the School of Nursing & Health Professions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct program, course, and student outcomes assessments.
Advise and mentor students.
Plan, implement, and evaluate course quality and academic integrity.
Lead accreditation review the program of study.
Evaluate and mentor program faculty.
Develop curricula in order to maintain program relevance.
Marketing and recruiting for the graduate program.
Participate in scholarly and service commitments in ways that promotes the Missions of Cumberland and the Rudy School of Nursing & Health Professions.
