The Assistant Nurse to the Health & Wellness Director supports the Health & Wellness Director (HWD) in our Clayton Oaks Senior Living community in Richmond, TX, in overseeing clinical and health-related operations.
This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that residents receive the highest quality of care, in alignment with Stellar Senior Living’s standards and state regulations.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and organized nurse leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, demonstrates clinical excellence, and is passionate about serving seniors.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Health & Wellness Director in managing day-to-day clinical operations of the community.
Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care and regulatory compliance.
Conduct assessments, care planning, and care conferences for residents as needed.
Monitor medication management systems and ensure documentation is accurate and timely.
Participate in hiring, training, and scheduling nursing staff in collaboration with the HWD.
Support coordination between healthcare providers, families, and residents to ensure holistic care delivery.
Audit and monitor infection control practices and ensure adherence to community policies.
Provide hands-on nursing support, including administering medications and assisting with direct resident care when required.
Serve as acting HWD in their absence, ensuring continuity of leadership and care operations.
Ability to work and do assessments, and training in dementia or memory care
Qualifications
Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of Texas (in good standing).
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a senior living, assisted living, or long-term care setting.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong working knowledge of state regulations and clinical compliance requirements.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or on-call duties as needed.
