The City of Sacramento is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Director to play a pivotal role in the management of our public administration functions. The selected candidate will provide critical support in overseeing department operations, ensuring effective service delivery to enhance the city's public services. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about public policy, civic engagement, and community development. Assist in the development and implementation of policies and programs that align with city goals. Oversee daily operations of various departments, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate with other city departments to facilitate integrated and efficient service delivery. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal planning activities to maximize departmental efficiencies and resources. Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to services and processes. Serve as a liaison between the city administration and the public, enhancing transparency and community engagement. Prepare reports and presentations for the city council, stakeholders, and public meetings. Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a productive and accountable city government environment.
