Interlachen Country Club is seeking an Assistant Director of Restaurants to lead operations and hospitality at its upscale casual restaurant, Bobby Jones. The Assistant Director of Restaurants reports to the Director of Food and Beverage and works closely with fellow food and beverage team leaders.

Responsibilities and Expectations Leadership: • Live our values and foster a positive work environment. • Lead by example and create a continuous teaching environment; this is a hands-on role. • Build strong relationships with fellow managers and chefs to support collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. • Lead regular team meetings to ensure strong communication, create alignment, promote teamwork, and improve performance. • Provide leadership and coaching to team members, including clear roles, responsibilities, and direction, regular coaching, hands-on training, and kind, prompt feedback while developing authentic relationships with them; full on-the-floor engagement is critical to success.
Hospitality: • Be the face of Bobby Jones and create a warm, friendly environment known for timely, personal, and seamless service. • Partner with teammates across all departments to "collect and connect dots" and create memorable moments for members and their families. • Seek feedback and input from membership to continuously improve the restaurant experience, including quality, offerings, and service; identify opportunities to improve and act.
Operations: • Maintain high-level visibility and accessibility to members, guests, and teammates. • Act as a "situational leader," monitoring the quality and pace of service on the floor and assisting where needed. • Ensure thorough standard operating procedures are in place, well-documented, and consistently implemented in the restaurant. • Oversee Bobby Jones' front-of-house hiring, training, scheduling, and payroll, consistent with the approved budget. • Ensure timeline response and upkeep to reservations and requests. • Execute an effective and engaging daily line-up with fellow food and beverage managers. • Complete regular opening, mid, and closing manager shifts; assist with set-up, execution, and breakdown and ensure the overall safety and preservation of the Club. • Collaborate with fellow food and beverage leaders to curate special menus, wine and beverage pairings, and other pop-up offerings. • Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant with fellow managers, maintaining an "always member-ready" approach in the front and heart of the house. • Monitor and respond to monthly food and beverage revenue, engagement metrics, and satisfaction scores when necessary.
Qualifications and Attributes Experience and Education: • Five or more years of progressive restaurant management experience is required • A restaurant general manager experience in a high-touch environment is preferred • A degree in hospitality, management, or a similar field is desirable

Schedule: • The expected work schedule is 45-55 hours per week. • Hours will vary based on the time of the year, business needs, events, and coverage, including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
