Swan Lake Nursing & Rehabilitation - Swan Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation  is actively looking to hire a full-time  Assistant Director of Recreation  for our Skilled Nursing Facility. The applicant must have a positive attitude and energy and prior experience with Activities in a healthcare setting

Assistant Director of Recreation Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Recreation is responsible to assist the Recreation Director for the development, implementation, and supervision of the facility’s recreation services. This includes providing an ongoing, inclusive program that uses purposeful activities in order to improve and maintain the quality of life for residents. The recreational programs are designed to meet the physical, cognitive, social, spiritual and emotional interests and needs of every resident.

Assistant Director of Recreation Required Skills:

Recreation experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred

Excellent administrative and organizational skills

Must enjoy working with the senior population

Have knowledge of various resident activities

Be able to work in close cooperation with the Director of Therapeutic Recreation

Display initiative to complete activities, related tasks and programs

Assistant Director of Recreation General Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist in developing, implementing & supervising all recreational services

Member of the interdisciplinary & management teams; attend meetings

Assist in all necessary documentation

Assist in planning, organizing and executing special events and programs

Performs all other duties as assigned by Director of Recreation
