Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist -Nursing Home

Located near Fernwood, NJ An extravagant skilled nursing facility located near Fernwood, NJis looking for an  Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist. Job Description: Participates in the developing, maintaining, and updating of written policies and procedures that govern day-to-day activities of the Performance Improvement/ Infection Control department Analyze and evaluate Performance Improvement/ Infection Control programs, policies and procedures Develop, implement, review and revise Performance Improvement/ Infection Control activities within the PI/ Infection Control Program Ensure compliance with government and accrediting agency standards and regulations pertaining to Performance Improvement and Infection Control Plan and oversee all Performance Improvement/ Infection Control programs and evaluate program outcomes Revise policies, procedures and programs as needed to improve departmental functions and to ensure the departments are meeting the needs of the resident, their family, the facility, and regulatory agencies Develop, implement and monitor systems for Performance Improvement/ Infection Control documentation and record keeping necessary to maintain accountability and compliance with federal and state regulations and facility policies Assist in supervising nursing staff in the facility Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff, and that the staff's skills remain current Overseeing nursing employee conduct Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility Assessing the health needs of each resident

Qualifications of the Assistant Director of Nursing/Infection Preventionist: Must have current New Jersey RN license Must have prior experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing Must have prior experience as an Infection Preventionist Infection Prevention certification strongly preferred Must have experience in long term care Excellent verbal and written communication skills
