Position Overview:
The Assistant Director of Nursing / Healthcare Administrator provides leadership and oversight of nursing operations, ensuring quality care for veterans and compliance with regulatory requirements. The role supervises staff, manages resources, and assists the DON as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage staff to ensure proper coverage and resource use.
Evaluate quality and outcomes of critical nursing functions.
Train and supervise staff to meet resident care standards.
Apply regulatory knowledge and implement corrective actions for deficiencies.
Participate in committees, task forces, and leadership roles.
Assist with HR activities: interviewing, selection, performance evaluations, coaching, disciplinary actions.
Manage emergent issues: allegations of abuse, neglect, mistreatment, fire/police involvement, elopements.
Act on behalf of the DON in their absence and communicate effectively with leadership.
Participate actively in the AMS process and other improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Active RN license in Arizona.
Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card .
Current Negative TB Skin Test (Mantoux) within 12 months or physician verification if previously positive.
CPR/BLS Certification.
Experience supervising nursing staff and knowledge of nursing home regulations.
