Position Summary: Golden Merced Care Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. This role supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing the nursing department and ensuring the highest standards of resident care. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a solid background in skilled nursing.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and support Unit Managers, ensuring timely completion of responsibilities and resolution of resident care concerns.

Monitor infection control practices and collaborate with the Facility Educator on training based on trends and data.

Participate in facility surveys and regulatory inspections as needed.

Assist in staffing evaluations and help ensure adequate nursing coverage on all shifts.

Review and update nursing policies and procedures annually.

Participate in hiring and onboarding of nursing staff with the DON and Administrator.

Assist with annual evaluations for nurses and CNAs.

Ensure care delivery aligns with residents’ individualized care plans and preferences.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing (California)

Preferred: 2+ years of experience as an ADON or DON in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

Strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills
