Join us in shaping the future of senior care and making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we serve.Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Duties and Responsibilities:Hiring new nurses and overseeing the onboarding process by training them or assigning them to a trainerCreating schedules to ensure that departments have adequate nursing coverage for every shiftCoaching nurses to improve performance and handling discipline issuesMonitoring expenses to ensure that the facility operates within budgetary constraintsHolding staff meetings to discuss patient statusConducting employee evaluations that identify nurses' strengths and areas of improvementMaking rounds to assess patient status and observe nursesChecking patient records to ensure that they are accurate and up to dateAssistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Qualifications and Skills: Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure in Wyoming Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills to interact positively with staff, patients and patients' familiesExtensive knowledge of nursing best practices and federal, state and local healthcare lawsStrong written communication skills to compile reports and write evaluationsAnalytical skills to interpret diagnostic information and financial dataCoaching skills to help nurses continue to improve their performanceTime management and multitasking skills to complete many tasks throughout the dayProblem-solving skills to overcome obstacles in delivering patient care and maintaining staff coverageAbility to use electronic health records, word processing, spreadsheet and email softwareAssistant Director of Nursing (ADON) Benefits:Health insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time off
