Job Responsibilities The Assistant Director of Housing and Residence Life is a full-time live-in staff member and assists in the implementation, continued growth, and sustainability of living/learning initiatives under the supervision of the Director. Supervises two full-time employees, a graduate assistant, and Resident Assistants. Provides counseling to students on a variety of issues related to residence hall living. Assists parents and students with any concerns concerning student housing.
Minimum and Additional Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university one-three years of experience in student services or related work, preferably in housing and residence life. A valid driver's license and safe driving history are required. Must have strong skills in providing excellent customer service and demonstrate strong ethics.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree and experience with Living-Learning initiatives and programs strongly preferred.
Additional Comments Thorough knowledge of customer service practices. Impeccable phone skills. Excellent data entry skills. Knowledge of office management policies, practices, and procedures. Ability to exercise judgment and use discretion in interpreting and applying departmental policies and procedures. Must communicate effectively, presenting accurate information both orally and in writing.
