Duration: PERM Perm salary: $77k-110k Location: Englewood Cliffs, NJ Working Schedule: Monday-Friday INTERVIEW PROCESS: 2 Rounds: 1 virtual and 1 onsite START DATE: ASAP JOB DESCRIPTION Our client is searching for an Assistant Facilities Director to help oversee a large HQ electronics office in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. This will be around C-suite executives and leaders The Assistant Facilities Director assists the Facilities Director in leading and directing facilities maintenance operations of a commercial building at a critical client facility. Assisting in the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services. Contributes to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs, and improving the productivity, revenue generating capacity and image of the entire organization. Directly managing other core services of business/operations services, e.g., custodial, grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services. DAY TO DAY: Directs work of management team and front-line associates Takes part in employment decisions including hiring, promotions, development and performance management Provides direction and manages performance for all Facility and Maintenance Supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development, engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards, including conducting applicable rounding Plans and leads daily team briefings Oversight of all work done on behalf of client to ensure quality control Plans, improves, and maintains owned and leased facilities and equipment. Directs, manages and coordinates with the functional authority for planning, organization, control and integration to ensure completion of projects. Oversight of all site utility systems to include electrical, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, energy management, fire safety, life safety and grounds Ensures the Client is following all local, state, and federal codes and regulations. Maintaining client relationship: Responsible for developing/executing maintenance solutions to meet customer needs Executes facilities maintenance/upkeep following predefined specifications Identifies client needs and communicates operational progress Ensures compliance with client contract and clients property lease terms REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 5 years of commercial hands on experience in commercial maintenance trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) 2-5 years of experience in a facility manager/director position Experience working on high pressure boilers, water chillers, and emergency power generators - able to diagnose equipment, knowledge of troubleshooting Good communication skills and personable Experience being the one in charge of equipment in a leased or owned facilities (not working with a landlord or property owner) PLUSSES: Bachelor's degree IFMA Membership and Certification Preferred (FMP, SFP, CFM) - client loves to see
