Description of Work Unit:The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of NCAA Division I (FBS). Position Summary:The Assistant Director of Creative Video conceptualizes, executes, and delivers creative video content for Colorado State University Athletics. Individual’s primary duty involves the performance of work requiring imagination, originality, and talent in creation of artistic video content that enhances and extends the Colorado State Athletics brand; individual also collaborates with multiple internal and external constituent groups to identify and capture stories; institutes best practices; assists with development of unit workflows to produce ample and timely content; is actively involved in the game-day atmosphere; and cultivates fan engagement and affinity through effective story telling.
Required Job Qualifications:
Experience employing and/or operating various cameras, lighting, audio, and other video production equipment required
Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in video production (intern, GA, and professional experience applicable)
Ability to adapt to the ever-changing video production industry
Ability to work on projects individually as well as within a team
Ability to bring fruition to creative ideas
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of applicable NCAA rules and regulations; willingness to report any rules violations; commitment to the - Department’s culture of compliance
Must have a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain a driver’s license or access to a licensed driver by the employment start date
Preferred Job Qualifications
Experience working in intercollegiate athletics, professional sports, or related design/production entity strongly preferred
Excellent attention to detail as well as strong organizational and planning skills

Shooting video content to be used for commercials, highlight videos, features, previews, recaps, and other editing responsibilities
Shooting video content for various social media platforms including but not limited to multimedia audio/video, animation, graphics, and sponsor content
Travel with teams when applicable to determine and gather appropriate content for future productions
Expected to attend live events and produce social content in-game
Maintain technical knowledge by attending design workshops, reviewing professional publications and participating in professional organizationsPercentage Of Time: 35

Assist in development of event production content including opens, headshots, in-game features, post-game highlights and sponsorship elements

Storyboard and develop content from video production to resonate with recruits and fans to be used in social media, game day, and as needed weekly for the Marketing, Communications, and Development Offices.
