Description of Work Unit: The Colorado State University Department of Athletics sponsors 16 men’s and women’s intercollegiate sports and competes as a member of NCAA Division I (FBS). Position Summary: The Assistant Director of Creative Video conceptualizes, executes, and delivers creative video content for CSU Athletics. The role involves creating artistic video content that enhances the Athletics brand, collaborating with internal and external teams, developing workflows, participating in game-day activities, and engaging fans through storytelling.

Required Job Qualifications:

Experience with cameras, lighting, audio, and video production equipment

At least 1 year of video production experience (internship, graduate assistant, or professional)

Adaptability to industry changes

Ability to work independently and in teams

Creative idea realization

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of NCAA rules; willingness to report violations; commitment to compliance

Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in intercollegiate athletics or professional sports

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Job Duties:

Shooting and editing video content for various uses including commercials, highlights, and social media

Traveling with teams for content gathering

Attending live events and producing in-game social content

Developing event production content and supporting live broadcasts

Coordinating with outside agencies and managing footage distribution

Creating content to engage recruits and fans for social media and marketing

Participating in meetings and assisting with supervision of staff and students
