Knowledge and experience using Blackbaud CRM system Position Summary The Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Annual Giving at UGA School of Law strengthens alumni relationships and annual giving through personalized outreach, signature event planning, and strategic communications. This role supports alumni engagement, manages key events like Homecoming and Graduation, and maintains accurate records to enhance donor development and stewardship. Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Alumni Engagement & Donor Pipeline Development
Coordinate personalized experiences on and off campus for key constituents to strengthen relationships (e.g., alumni, faculty, staff, students, families, friends, mentors, businesses, organizations, and foundations).
Develop, execute, and manage a multi-day engagement cadence, guiding alumni through structured outreach efforts that deepen their connection to the school and highlight involvement and philanthropic opportunities.
Track and analyze data to measure effectiveness and refine strategies, ensuring a continuous pipeline of alumni moving toward greater involvement and support.
Leverage School of Law, University, and UGA Alumni Association programs and events to increase alumni engagement and philanthropic support.
Renew and grow support for the Law School Fund and corpus and spendable side of other funds to achieve annual fundraising and performance goals (e.g., meetings, emails, mailings, calls, events, solicitations, and other interactions).
Refer prospects to the Senior Director of Development for potential next steps throughout the School of Law and University. Percentage of time Duties/Responsibilities Signature Events & Professional Meetings
Plan, promote, execute, and/or facilitate signature law school events (e.g., Homecoming BBQ, Graduation and Pre-Graduation Reception, Judges Reception, Awards Dinner, Class Reunions), as well as other engagement events held in conjunction with external conferences and professional meetings (e.g., State Bar Reception).
Identify and implement event details to include: registration tracking, space reservations, lodging, accommodations, catering, guest list, attendance tracking, schedule planning, travel considerations, communications strategy, budget, staffing requirements, parking, and security.
Ensure fiscal responsibility in managing event budgets, vendor contracts, and financial reporting. Adhere and set deadlines to manage events in a professional manner.
Complete a post-event closeout comprising of notes for improvement, confirm vendor and related event payments, and provide registration revenue reconciliation as needed.
Support major school ceremonies and events organized by the advancement office and other departments/offices. Percentage of time Duties/Responsibilities Communications & Stewardship
Ensure all constituent interactions, activities, contact info, relationships, and registrations are documented in the GAIL database for strategic follow-up.
Develop personalized thank-you notes, congratulatory messages, and other outreach efforts to build and sustain alumni relationships.
Identify alumni stories for social media, newsletters, and digital engagement campaigns.
