Summary Wentworth Institute of Technology is seeking applicants interested in joining the Wentworth community as an Assistant Director of Admission .
The Assistant Director will focus on recruitment efforts for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions – focusing on domestic multicultural students — and is responsible for on and off campus programs, including public presentations. This staff member will manage a recruitment territory, building relationships with prospective students and their families, school counselors, and representatives from community-based organizations. This will have a focus in the city of Boston.
The Assistant Director will help with recruitment activities and outreach aimed at enrolling highly qualified diverse candidates to Wentworth. That effort involves close collaboration with internal and external colleagues while developing a strong working knowledge of potential partner schools. This person will serve as a member of the admissions team and support the overall execution of strategic departmental and institutional enrollment goals.
The Assistant Director of Admissions reports to the Associate Director of International Admissions and collaborates with other recruitment and enrollment teams and departments across the institution.
Who We Are Seeking: Candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience and/or advanced education may be considered for the Assistant Director role. The Assistant Director will take on projects and program coordination within the office, and other duties as assigned.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of experience in a higher education setting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
Must have excellent communication skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents.

A valid driver’s license is required. Advertised Preferred Qualifications Track record of being a self-starter with demonstrated ability to take initiative, exercise good judgment and work autonomously.
Must have excellent public speaking, written, and verbal skills to support relationship building with prospective students and other constituents. Skill and sensitivity of issues of diversity, equity and inclusion as they affect the college admissions process, a demonstrated commitment to building a strong and diverse applicant pool, and an awareness of how systemic economic and racial inequity in students’ secondary school backgrounds impacts their application to college.
Computer skills – proficiency with Microsoft applications required; experience with Slate Technolutions is preferred.
