Georgetown University comprises two campuses in Washington, D.C. The role supports the recruitment and enrollment of students for graduate and executive degree programs, with a focus on the Master of Science in Management. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for all aspects of recruiting outreach, including answering emails, telephone calls, and walk-in inquiries, and for implementing procedures for outreach and follow-up with prospects. The position engages, cultivates, and manages the recruiting pipeline and works with the Director to maximize recruitment opportunities.

Working with the Director, the Assistant Director plans recruiting events such as on- and off-campus information sessions and online information sessions, and may travel to represent McDonough at recruiting events and fairs. The role also serves on the team\'s internal marketing automation function, collaborating with the Director, Associate Director, and Admissions Manager to manage outgoing marketing communications to students across all programs in the portfolio, including creating emails and landing pages. The role liaises with the Director of Marketing Strategy and the Marketing and Communications team at McDonough.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Communicate via email, phone, and in-person with prospective Master of Science in Management students
  • Cultivate and manage the recruitment pipeline for the Master of Science in Management program
  • Plan and host recruitment events
  • Create and execute email and other marketing automation

Work Interactions

The Assistant Director reports to the Director, Graduate and Executive Degree Programs Admissions and works closely with the Assistant and Associate Deans. This role interacts with external partners such as prospective students and alumni, and collaborates with the Marketing team. It contributes to the university\'s mission by supporting recruitment, admissions, and revenue generation for the Master of Science in Management program.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor\'s degree required
  • 3–5 years\' experience in a corporate or university setting
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and team orientation; ability to work with prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff
  • Substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications (if Applicable)

  • Experience in higher education admissions is strongly preferred
  • Marketing and events experience is highly desirable
  • Comfort with Excel data analysis; prior exposure to marketing tasks is a plus

Work Mode Designation

This position is designated as Hybrid.

Pay Range

$44,022.00 - $73,406.80

Compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, and university needs.
