Requirements Job Overview Assistant Director, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions | McDonough School of Business – Georgetown University The Assistant Director, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions, supports all activities related to the smooth and effective recruitment and enrollment of incoming students for our graduate and executive degree programs, in particular the Master of Science in Management program. The Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions is responsible for all aspects of recruiting outreach, including answering emails, telephone calls, and walk-in inquiries for the graduate and executive degree programs. He/she/they will implement all procedures for recruiting outreach and follow-up with prospects, as well as engaging, cultivating, and managing the recruiting pipeline. In addition, the Assistant Director of Recruitment and Admissions will work with the Director to identify opportunities to maximize recruitment for the Master of Science in Management program. Working with the Director, he/she/they will plan recruiting events such as on and off-campus information sessions, online information sessions, and occasionally travel to represent McDonough at recruiting events and fairs. The Assistant Director will also serve on the team’s internal marketing automation team. In this role, they will work closely with the Director, Associate Director, and Admissions Manager to manage outcoming marketing communication to students across all programs in the team’s portfolio, including creating and executing emails and landing pages. This work will also see them liaison with the Director of Marketing Strategy, as well as the Marketing and Communications team at McDonough. Duties include, but are not limited to: Communicate via email, phone, and in-person with prospective Master of Science in Management students
Cultivate and manage the recruitment pipeline for the Master of Science in Management program
Plan and host recruitment events
Create and execute email and other marketing automation
Work Interactions The Assistant Director, Graduate & Executive Degree Programs Admissions reports directly to the Director, Graduate and Executive Degree Programs Admissions and works closely with the Assistant and Associate Deans. This position interacts regularly with external partners, such as prospective students, alumni, Georgetown University offices, and works with an Assistant Director and three Associate Directors. This role directly contributes to the University’s mission by supporting the recruitment and admissions, and therefore revenue generation, for a critical graduate degree program, the Master of Science in Management. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required
At least 3-5 years’ experience within a corporate or university setting required.
Extremely strong interpersonal abilities and strong team orientation required. Must be able to work with various constituencies, including prospective students, current students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
Preferred qualifications (if applicable) Experience in higher education admissions is strongly preferred.
Marketing and events related experience is highly desirable.
Comfort with working in Excel and analyzing data is a plus.
Prior exposure to marketing tasks is a plus.
Work Mode Designation Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
