Specific Job Title : Assistant Director for Mission Assessment

Job Summary:
T he Assistant Director is responsible for overseeing the assessment practices, outcomes, and action plans across the University’s four mission departments: the Institute for Vincentian Impact, Campus Ministry, the Vincentian Center for Church and Society (VCCS), and the Office of Mission Initiatives. In alignment with the University’s strategic plan, assessment framework, and data-informed practices, the Assistant Director will support efforts to centralize data collection, operationalize assessment processes, and conduct meaningful analysis to inform program improvement and strategic decision-making.
This position serves as the Mission sector representative on the University Assessment Committee and contributes to both institutional and Vincentian accreditation efforts. The Assistant Director is also responsible for leading outcomes assessment and establishing both long-term and short-term goals for mission-aligned programs, departments, and initiatives.
Primary Area of Focus:
Support the development, implementation, and oversight of assessment plans across all four m ission-related departments in alignment with institutional goals and M ission identity.
Support the creation and tracking of measurable outcomes for programs, events, and initiatives that reflect Catholic and Vincentian values.
Manage the build , trainings, maintenance, and effective use of the University’s volunteer management platform, GivePulse , to track service participation and engagement.
Oversee all community engagement data collection resources, including Qualtrics, Formstack, GivePulse , and other related tools to support program evaluation and reporting.
Lead analyses of qualitative and quantitative data to evaluate program effectiveness, including the administration and analysis of the Catholic Identity and Mission Assessment (CIMA) surveys for new students, graduating seniors, and alumni to inform continuous improvement, and support storytelling of mission impact.
Assist in identifying and evaluating community partnerships for mission-aligned service and impact assessment.
Collaborate with mission-related departments to prepare and present annual and necessary periodic reports on program performance, including faculty engagement, student participation, demographic data, and retention data.
Support University-wide accreditation processes by providing mission-specific data, reports, and documentation as needed.
Create centralized tools and processes to streamline data collection, improve accuracy, and ensure consistency across departments.
Coordinate and facilitate assessment workshops and training for M ission department staff to build capacity and enhance assessment culture.
Represent the Division of Mission on the University Assessment Committee and other committees as assigned.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, etc.), or educational program evaluation, and a minimum of two years of research experience to demonstrate the ability to model data and to conduct complex analyses.
Demonstrated e xperience with data coding and documentation .
Proven e xperience working with databases and reporting .
Good knowledge of MS Office .
Knowledge of or ability to learn Qualtrics, Formstack, GivePulse , and other related tools to support program evaluation and reporting.
Demonstrate d ability using statistical and data presentation software (SPSS and MS PowerBI preferred) .
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills .
Strong communication skills [oral/written] with the ability to communicate findings through reports and presentations to stakeholders with varying levels of technical knowledge .
Comfortable presenting to large groups and/or to high-level stakeholders .
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships .
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with excellent organizational and time management skills .
E xperience in successfully leading multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight timelines .
Preferred:
Experience in a h igher education environment .
Proficient in writing reports in APA format .
Strong interest in poverty alleviation , service, and social justice.
Work Environment :
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as personal computers and printers.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work :
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) and Friday (8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) . T his position may be hybrid eligible subject to university policy 130.
Travel :
Travel is primarily local and may include visits to the other NY campuses.
This position is subject to a comprehensive background screen, with employment contingent upon satisfactory results.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual  salary range for this position is $64,350-$71,100 .
