: Summary: The Assistant Director of Financial Planning and Analysis serves as WAMU’s secondary liaison to Station Leadership on all financial and budgetary matters after the Managing Director of Finance and Administration. Specific responsibilities include supporting strategic fiscal planning and budgeting, communicating any changes in policy or procedures to Station leadership and community, and forecasting and financial modeling for programs and projects. The Assistant Director is responsible for preparing WAMU’s financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) under the guidance of the Managing Director of Finance and Administration and the AU Controller’s Office and providing guidance and assistance to WAMU Directors and Managers on financial matters. Essential Functions:
1.) Financial Analysis Prepares monthly station wide financial reports for senior management and monitors revenue and expense performance, including variance analysis for all station functions.
2.) Fiscal Planning, Forecasting, and Modeling Leads development of financial models, forecasts, business line analysis and planning and station wide budget development.
3.) Accounts Receivables Manage corporate underwriting receivables processes, including new staff training, sponsor credit review and internal software systems.
4.) Audit Manages annual financial audit in conjunction with Managing Director and University Controller’s Office.
Works with Associate General Manager to support internal audits as necessary.
5.) Customer Service Identifies innovative solutions to increase department and team effectiveness and service to WAMU stakeholders.
6.) Public Reporting Prepares WAMU GAAP financial statements and the Annual Financial Report and Station Activity Survey for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and coordinates with FCC Counsel for all compliance.
Supervisory Responsibility: May supervise occasional part time staff support as needed.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full-Time.
35 hour per week.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually.
Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
4-6 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Education and Experience: Master's degree or equivalent.
5-8 years of relevant experience.
Travel Required: Limited local travel may be required.
