Assistant Director - Discovery Clubhouse by Northstar Preschools We're looking for a leader who believes in more than just running a program, we're looking for someone who can help us grow it. Someone who can inspire teachers, connect with families, and strengthen our presence in the community through marketing, outreach, and meaningful partnerships. As Assistant Director, you'll work side-by-side with the Director to ensure our center is a place where children, families, and teachers truly thrive. You'll manage daily operations, support and train staff, oversee curriculum quality, and keep us aligned with licensing standards. You'll also play a key role in welcoming new families, fostering strong relationships, and sharing our story with the community through events, tours, and creative outreach. This role is as much about leadership as it is about flexibility and presence. Some days you'll be in the classrooms, stepping in as a teacher to keep the day running smoothly. Other days, you might step into the kitchen as the chef, preparing meals that meet USDA standards. You'll take ownership of our USDA food program grant, ensuring that all paperwork is completed accurately and submitted by strict deadlines. This requires clean, high-quality work, strong organizational skills, and exceptional attention to detail. You'll also attend meetings, uphold all grant and program requirements, and be a visible, engaged leader throughout the center. Your ability to switch seamlessly between big-picture planning and hands-on tasks will be essential for success.
